CommandCTRL provides remote shell access to a machine directly from the browser. When you open a shell session or run a script, you select the privilege level the session runs under.
Select the Privilege Level
When you open a shell session or run a script, CommandCTRL prompts you to select the privilege level for the session:

User (Inherited Rights) — runs commands with the current user’s privileges.

System (Elevated Rights) — runs commands with administrator privileges.
Open a Shell Session

Open the machine dashboard.

In the toolbar, click Shell to open the shell console.

When prompted, select the privilege level: User (Inherited Rights) or System (Elevated Rights). The prompt also shows how many active user sessions are on the target machine at the time of connection.

Enter your commands in the shell console and press Enter to run them.

On macOS endpoints, open an interactive Terminal session using the Shell toolbar button on the machine dashboard.

On Linux endpoints (Ubuntu, Red Hat, Fedora, Debian, IGEL, and eLux), select the shell type (bash, sh, and so on) when you open the session.
Each shell session opens in a dedicated browser tab for a focused workflow.
On Windows machines, the shell is PowerShell. Shell access for macOS (Terminal) and Linux is new in CommandCTRL 1.5.
