CommandCTRL provides detailed hardware information for a machine in two ways: you can request a hardware scan from the dashboard, and you can submit hardware information to AI Insights for additional analysis context.
Request Hardware Information from the Dashboard
A hardware scan returns detailed, searchable hardware information for the selected machine.

On the machine dashboard, in the System widget header, click the Hardware Monitor icon (tooltip: Hardware Monitor on Agents).

The Hardware Information window opens and the agent returns the machine’s hardware details.

Expand a category to view its details, or type in the Search field to find a specific item. Categories include Central Processor(s), Motherboard, Memory, Bus, Video Adapter, Network, Ports, Monitor, and Smart Battery. Summary details include Computer Name, Computer Brand Name, Operating System, UEFI Boot, Secure Boot, and Hypervisor-protected Code Integrity (HVCI).
On virtual machines, CommandCTRL displays a warning that the results may not reflect real hardware.

Click Close when you are finished.
Submit Hardware Information to AI Insights
When using AI Insights, you can give the AI more context by submitting the machine’s hardware information. This is an optional second step and does not happen automatically.

Open the AI Insights console for the machine (see Use AI Insights from the Dashboard).

Click Submit Hardware Info. CommandCTRL includes the hardware information in the analysis.
Submitting hardware information to AI Insights is available for Windows machines.
