The default working folder for ProfileUnity is the user’s temp folder, %temp%. ProfileUnity extracts files, including executables, to this folder, but some environments block executables from executing from the temp folder. In such cases, the working folder for ProfileUnity can be set to an alternate location with a GPO.
- Open the Group Policy Management Editor for ProfileUnity.
- Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Classic Administrative Templates > Liquidware Labs > ProfileUnity.
- Set the Temp Path to
C:\ProUFiles\%username%in both the 32-bit and 64-bit locations to cover all target operating systems.
