Uninstalling the Connection Server Monitor

ProfileUnity’s FlexDisk Technology delivers VMDK-based FlexApps and VMDK-based user data disks called ProfileDisks. Environments using FlexDisk need to uninstall the Connection Server Monitor csmonitor.exe that resides on the Horizon Connection Server any time after the ProfileUnity Console has been upgraded and your Horizon Connection Server information was added to the Horizon Credentials list in Administration > Settings > FlexDisk in the ProfileUnity Management Console.

Starting with ProfileUnity 6.8.6, the functionality previously provided by csmonitor.exe has been integrated into the FlexDisk service so an additional component is no longer necessary. The Connection Server Monitor can be uninstalled by completing the following steps:

  1. RDP or otherwise login to your Horizon Connection Server(s).
  2. Open the Apps and Features screen by right-clicking on the Start button and selecting it.
  3. Find the CSMonitor entry and click Uninstall. No reboot is needed.
