Configure Application Settings for Users

Administrators can change and configure default application settings on FlexApp DIA packages for users by clicking Configure the Package.

Note: In order to configure a package, the application package must first be activated. Refer to the topic Activating or Deactivating a Package for instructions on how to do this.

To configure application settings for users, complete the following steps:

  1. From the FlexApp Packaging Console, click the down arrow beside the (Edit the package) button.
  2. In the drop-down list that appears, click the (Configure the package) button.
  3. The Configure a Package screen opens.
  4. (Optional) In the Package Name field, rename the package with a more descriptive name relating to any special configuration settings.
  5. In the Application Location field, enter the full path or browse to the executable location.
  6. (Optional) In the text-entry field under the Application Location field, add any additional parameters for the application.
  7. Click the Configure button to launch the application’s executable. The FlexApp Packaging Console will then record the configuration changes you made to the application.
  8. When the process is finished, click Save to accept the application changes to the package or Discard to cancel out the setting changes.
  9. Click OK to finalize the process.
