Edit a Package’s Metadata

Note: If the application you want to edit has been packaged prior to FlexApp Packaging Console v6.7, the package can be updated automatically for Click-to-Layer compatibility by opening the FlexApp Packaging Console version 6.7 or higher, selecting Edit the package’s metadata for the relevant package, then clicking OK.

The option to edit a package's metadata is only available while the FlexApp package is not being used in a FlexApp DIA Configuration Module rule.

To make changes to a package’s metadata, which consists of its package name and package icon, complete the following steps:

  1. From the FlexApp Packaging Console, click the down arrow beside the (Edit the package) button.
  2. In the drop-down list that appears, click the (Edit the package's metadata) button.
  3. The Edit a Package's Metadata screen opens.
  4. (Optional) In the Package Name field, enter a new descriptive name for the application package.
  5. In the New Icon Location field, enter the full path name or browse to the new icon you want to use for the application package.
  6. Click the Save button in the top right corner of the screen.
  7. Changes take effect the next time the package is played back.
