Managing Inventory

ProfileUnity’s Inventory Management screen contains tabs in the top right corner that provide administrators with an overall view of each of the FlexApp packages, system inventory components, ThinApp packages, and redirects in the environment.

FlexApp Tab

The FlexApp tab shows admins all of the FlexApp packages available for use in the FlexApp library. From this list, admins can view specific package information, delete packages, or disable/enable packages. Beginning in version 6.8.6, you can not only see when a FlexApp was created and last modified, you can also see who created and modified each one.

Note: You cannot modify Liquidware Cloud Apps.  You can remove the Liquidware Cloud Apps from this list by selecting the Hide Liquidware App Catalog setting in the Administration > Settings > Miscellaneous section. Alternatively, you can clone the Liquidware Cloud Apps to have full control over the cloned version.

Click the Update Cloud Apps button at the top to pull the most recent versions of Liquidware Cloud Apps.

Click the Import button at the top to browse servers and import additional FlexApp packages.

Changes can be applied to multiple FlexApp Packages at the same time. Click on the (Lightning) icon at the top to choose the appropriate menu option to mass update the selected FlexApp packages. Options include enabling, disabling, and deleting packages.

The FlexApp Inventory Management list includes a column called “Used In” which is the number of Configurations in which the FlexApp package is used. If the number is greater than zero, click the (ViewApplied Configurations) icon to the right of this column.  This action opens a filtered Configuration Management list that shows all Configurations using the FlexApp package. To view the full list of Configurations, click on the ‘X’ to remove the filter at the top of the Configuration Management list.

System Tab

The System tab displays an in-depth hardware and software inventory report for each record in the list.

ThinApp Tab

The ThinApp tab displays an in-depth report for each ThinApp package. Included in the report are details about how many devices the package is installed on, how many users are using it, and where it is located.

Redirection Tab

The Redirection tab displays the status of a user’s shell folder during migration. For example, a user’s “My Documents” folder could be in the process of synchronizing, finished with synchronizing, or stalled due to an error. Administrator can use this information to determine when a user’s shell folders have finished synchronizing to the target path.
